Hi lovelies!
Hope you are having a wonderful 2021! I apologize for just now catching up on my blog, but I am determined to be more consistent with my content.
Today’s topic is all about being happy. I am a BIG believer that happiness is a choice. This means you can be happy no matter where you are in your life. A few things I know for sure is that life is full of ebbs and flows, this means we have good moments and bad moments. It is just the flow of energy that comes in our life. However, the emotions that we the current state of what is going on can be controlled. For example, let’s say if a car cut me off the road, I could be mad and dwell in that anger and let that emotion control me. This energy will stay with me when I reach my destination and then I will choose to stay in a bad mood, and if I am meeting anyone this energy might transfer to our experience together. What I started doing is that I started giving those type of experiences blessings.
Let me explain further what I mean, if someone cuts me off, now I just pray over them, saying “This person is clearly in a rush, please help them get to their location in a safe manner.” Honestly, this has help me not only stay sane, but unblock any blessings I have in my life.
I am a strong believer that life is too short to live it content and miserable, I think we got to grab the bull by the horns and conquer life. Here are my 3 tips on how to be happy and maintain a happy life.
1) Re-evaluate your circle: This is very important; you reflect the 5 people you surround yourselves with. How are the closest people to you? Are they positive, uplifting, supportive? Or are they negative or complainers? Energy can be transferred as I explained earlier, so it is important for you to re-evaluate your relationships and ensure that you are surrounding yourself with positive people. This will not only make you happy, but you will be living out a more fulfilled life.

2) Create a gratitude list. This something I do every morning; I count my blessings and list out everything I am grateful for. This is a small reminder of all the good things you have going for you. This list does not have to be long, you can start with a few short items, such as I am grateful to be able to take a breath in morning or even for my bed that I sleep in. I think the key to gratitude lists are to keep it simple in the beginning. Once you do that, you will start to see your life being to blossom into the life you have always wanted.

3) Exercise: Moving our bodies helps to release Dopamine, the happy chemical, this will help to brighten your mood instantly. When I am feeling low, I usually love playing some music and dancing around house to the songs. This instantly uplifts my mood and I start choosing to be happy. Other ways you can exercise is you can go for a quick walk outdoors, you can ride a bike, or even turn on a free workout video on YouTube. One of my favorite YouTuber’s is Chloe Ting, she has all these free workout videos and her energy is awesome.
I hope these tips help you become happier. Remember: Choose Happiness! 😊
